Environmental Justice Learning Cohort
The Land Reuse and Environmental Justice Learning Cohort is a FREE six-month virtual program designed to help nonprofit organizations effectively lead brownfield site reuse projects.
Through monthly interactive small group workshops and individual coaching calls, participants will gain the knowledge, skills, and network needed to lead impactful brownfield projects that align community priorities and environmental justice goals. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting your brownfield reuse journey, this cohort will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and support you need to create change in your community.

With a maximum of sixteen participants per session, the cohort is designed to provide practitioners with a wide range of experience the tools, skills, and resources to effectively lead transformative land reuse projects and personalized coaching to help move from theory to action. Dive into practical templates, tools, and case studies designed to help you navigate each phase of the land reuse process.
Create An Actionable Strategy
With support from experts and peers, develop an action plan to bring your project from aspiration to asset.
Receive Personalized Coaching
In addition to monthly workshops, receive tailored group and one-on-one coaching to help you integrate new skills and knowledge directly into your ongoing projects.
Build a Community of Peers
You’ll meet like-minded nonprofit professionals to form partnerships, share insights, and build a supportive network. Upon completion, you’ll gain access to our community of practice with ongoing opportunities for support, learning, and peer-to-peer networking.
The 2024-2025 Learning Cohort will include six monthly 1.5-hour sessions running from October 2024 – March 2025. We value continuity and in-depth learning, so regular attendance is crucial. We also encourage organizational learning; having one, ideally two, team members attend each session will help maintain and spread the knowledge within your organization. Lastly, your feedback through session evaluations and surveys will be vital in shaping the future of this initiative.
