Why Trees?
Urban trees are powerful allies in the fight against climate threats. They cool overheated neighborhoods, manage stormwater to prevent flooding, conserve water during droughts, and filter air pollution—improving public health and quality of life.
But trees can’t do their magic alone.
They need care, maintenance, and long-term community stewardship to survive, thrive, and protect our neighborhoods. That’s why our work doesn’t stop at planting—we’re investing in the people, leaders, and programs that make neighborhoods greener, healthier, and ready to face climate challenges.
Last year, Groundwork Trusts planted over 4,000 trees to fight flooding, pollution, and extreme heat—and this Earth Month, we’re raising $4,000 in celebration of every tree put into the ground!
