Education
We work with schools to improve their outdoor facilities for recreation and education. We help provide after school activities which engage students in improving their community. Environmental education is key to getting local youth involved, interested, and engaged in long term environmental stewardship. Groundwork trusts conduct various environmental education programs in schools and in extracurricular settings like The Science Barge in Yonkers. All of our programs incorporate hands-on projects in the classroom and in the community so that students can put their new skills and knowledge to use right away.
