Many different organizations and agencies are working together to develop the Groundwork USA network. Our national partners include EPA’s Brownfields Program and Office of Water, and the National Park Service Rivers, Trails & Conservation Assistance Program.

The Groundwork model was initially developed by Groundwork UK. Groundwork UK continues to operate across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, working on thousands of individual projects each year. They focus their activity on disadvantaged communities where they feel they can make the most difference. Groundwork Japan, also a partner, was founded in 1992.
